Here's How Many In Westchester, Putnam Are Now Without Power After Storm Sweeps Through

Thousands of Westchester and Putnam residents lost power after storms brought heavy rain and strong wind to the region overnight.

As of 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, Con Edison is responding to 161 reported outages, which were impacting 3,199 of its 348,198 customers in Westchester. NYSEG is dealing with 2,271 of its 32,806 customers who were without power.

In Putnam County, 2,709 of NYSEG’s 38,310 customers were still left in the dark, while Central Hudson was responding to outages impacting 266 of their 5,153 customers in the county.

Among the hardest-hit areas were Greenburgh (755 outages); Briarcliff (332); Yorktown (322); Sleepy Hollow (297); and Mamaroneck (218).

Other outages were reported in Ardlsey; Bedford; Bronxville; Cortlandt; Dobbs Ferry; Eastchester; Elmsford; Harrison; Hastings-on-Hudson; Larchmont; Mamaroneck; Mount Kisco; Mount Pleasant; Mount Vernon; New Castle; New Rochelle; North Castle; Ossining; Pelham Manor; Pleasantville; Port Chester; Rye Brook; Rye; Scarsdale; Tarrytown; Tuckahoe; White Plains and Yonkers.

In Putnam, NYSEG customers in Carmel (233), Kent (912), Patterson (816), Pawling (three), Putnam Valley (415), and Southeast (330) were reporting outages. Central Hudson was responding to outages in Philipstown (201) and Cold Spring (65).

Complete restoration is expected before noon on Friday, Nov. 1.
